  • I don’t know about anyone else, but for me it’s been a great week for owning an old iPhone 3G. If you happened to see my tweet I mentioned, you will have noticed how happy I was with the latest version of the facebook app. Then not only this, there were massive improvements in other major apps such as twitter, instagram and flickr etc. The new speed enhancement in these apps has even made my old phone feel revived, in what felt before like it was just chugging along and needed throwing in the bin as it couldn’t keep up. Obviously, all these improvements are in wake of the release of iOS5 being released later today. Not too bothered about that for now though. Feels great to use my phone again, happy days. :)

  • Spotted this on IGN today,  Spielberg Booking Halo Movie? Man if this does finally get the go ahead, the guy is sure to become a god to the Halo aliances. Especially now as it has been rumoured to happen for some time.  Shall be keeping a close eye on this.

  • I’m pretty surprised about this news given the current climate situation. Good thing or bad thing? I’ll let you folks decide on that! Guess It’s a good thing if your at that age. But given that under the new government,  Tax is  set to go up in the new year, how can they afford to do this? Therefore this kinda counteracts it-self? Pass. I don’t do politics.

  • Ok so in case you didn’t see a previous tweet of mine,  I’m quite a big Halo Fan and I just completed my entire collection of the series by purchasing Reach. Having started it on Normal difficulty, I was meh, it’s the last in the series so restarted it on Legendary! Wooo. So far i’ve only put in a short amount of time, up-to about the 3rd level – so far I’m impressed with the intelligence and new armoury tools. Shall do another update when I’m done.

  • Read an interesting article titled: Social Network Content Creation Has Plateaued. I’m usually skeptical about so called Study’s but this spoke allot of truth. While its noticeable the social network genre is buzzing, the actual content flying around seems repetitive, unintuitive and lacking inspiration.

I’m running for charity

bgsr

Hey folks.. Just  wanted to let you know that I’ve officially now entered the BUPA Great South Run on behalf of the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. A running event that’s held in Portsmouth, UK in October where you can choose to do either the 5 or 10 mile race.  I have decided to do the whole 10 mile hog. I don’t do things by halfs.

So yeah, I’m very happy to of entered for the Trust. Have always wanted to do something for them in the 4 or 5 years I’ve known them and seeing that i’ve been running since July 2011, it seemed to fit in perfectly as a good goal to achieve for 2012 and all the more, I’ve left myself plenty of time to train up.

It’s a long time untill the event, but I feel I the length of time is needed as I have allot of things I need to overcome first. So while I’ve already been doing a lot of running prior to this decision,  this weekend I did my first road run (usually run a long quiet cycle path) and covered roughly 10.6 miles within 20hrs. 5.3 miles each day. The aim now is to increase the Saturday run by roughly a mile every other weekend. It’ll be tricky because I’ll have my son along with me some weekends and he only has little legs but I’m hoping to get to the 10 mile barrier within a few months so that by October, I should find it fairly easy to cover the 10 miles. (that’s what he says now!)

Not allot to say other than that.  I have a Donation page already up, if you would like to support me and the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.

Some may say I’m a bit crazy. They might be right. But i like to take part in what is, a great cause.
