Review of things done and things to come…

Quick update on some new bits n pieces added to the site recently, which you may or may not have already noticed. Most alterations I think are for the better. I gave myself a week initially to push out these amendments out the door, give or take a few days as well given the time I had spare.
CATEGORIES
Anyway here’s a summary of whats new:
- Added a new page background with altered font-family’s and colours on item headings to suit
- Styles of subheadings altered to be more subtle instead of ‘in your face’
- Altered bottom half of homepage layout
- Altered the pattern that twitter, last.fm and flickr services are pulled in.
- Changed the style of homepage Journal posts. These now give me the flexibility of using Wordpress’s new Post Thumbnail Image functionality and so when included, alters its layout to suit accordingly
- All Journal pages previous posts are restyled slightly to fit in with new homepage look
- I added my Xbox Live Gamercard with some detailed information of what I play – this utilizes Chris Walkers Gamer Card API functionality – respect for that
- Revised area’s on my Work page. Including services and contact form and added included items in page at the top for quick and easy access
- About page layout was altered and included a new FAQ section and updated contact info
- Revised site footer
- De cluttered scripts and plugins that were no longer in use and improved components to improve on overall site speed
What’s next in the pipeline…
- Rejig of Journal Layout
- Adding a site map and xml site map
- Improvements on SEO
- Improvements on overall speed
- Adding a ‘Play’ page feature (more on that later)
- Adding real time updates to the services I use on the homepage
- Better user interaction
- Possibility of fitting in Advertisements
- Revamp of site logo
