Devoting more time for theory. Submitted an application for Performance Assessment session with a qualified professional musician which will then lead to examination work. Assessment starts in January 2010.
Haven’t had an awful lot of time lately to get much music done of late. I’ve been busy rebuilding the website, I have however, spent a couple of eve’s this week mocking up a couple of concepts which I may use for M.O.I. Its good stuff and I think I’ve overwhelmed myself a bit with what I’ve come up with!
A great week all round for the 1st track I’m labeling ‘Mirage of Illusions’. Mon and Tues spent getting idea’s on the reasoning behind the song and gradually crossing idea’s from thought to guitar. Wed started on Lyrics. Thurs, recorded down the 1st few sections. I’m real pleased about the outcome so far. A musically productive week!
This past week or so I’ve been working on getting the right sound from my guitar before plugging away. Managed to find a really gorgeous clean tone and lead sound that I’m happy to use as a basis for my first few track ideas. They will be something along the lines of a mix between slow and down right heavy and dirty. Enough to get ya all sweaty for sure!
