Round Britain

A project taking place from May 2009 to September 2009 where young crews from the Ellen MacArthur Trust sail 2000nm around the UK.

The Ellen MacArthur Trust supports young people aged between 8-18 sailing to help them regain their confidence, on their way to recovery from cancer, leukaemia and other serious illness.

In 2007, several people involved with the Ellen MacArthur Trust had a dream that one day they would set sail with one yacht, and a crew of young people who had previously sailed with the Trust, on a voyage of adventure around the coast of Britain, just as Ellen MacArthur had done alone in her Corribee aged19.

And so the Journey went ahead
